Lucy Baxter

Associate Adviser

Lucy is an Associate Adviser and Associate Chief of Staff. She provides assistance to the Advisers and supports the management of the business. She joined Lincoln in 2017.

Lucy graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a degree in French and History. She is a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments (CISI) and holds the certificate in Private Client Investment Advice & Management and Investment Management Certificate (IMC).

Lucy is married, and away from the office enjoys riding and cooking.

Rupert Coley


Associate Adviser

Rupert is an Associate Adviser, providing support to the Advisers and their clients.

Rupert joined the team in 2019. Prior to Lincoln, Rupert spent a year as an Exchange Operations Analyst for Fixnetix Ltd.

Rupert graduated from Oxford Brookes University with a 1st Class Honours Degree in International Business. He holds the certificate in Private Client Investment Advice & Management and Investment Management Certificate (IMC).

Away from the office, Rupert enjoys playing golf and rugby sevens in the summer.

Ross Elder, FSI CFA

Managing Partner

Ross is the Managing Partner and a founding partner of Lincoln Private Investment Office. As Managing Partner, Ross is responsible for leading and managing the business. As an Adviser, Ross provides investment advice to his clients and is a member of Lincoln’s Investment Committee and Alternative Investment Committee.

Before Lincoln, Ross was a Managing Director and Co-Head of Berenberg Private Banking UK, which he launched and built into a successful and well-respected business. Ross was previously a Director at Barclays Wealth, having started his career at James Capel.

Ross is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charter Holder and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments (CISI). He was named the Spear’s High Net Worth Asset Manager of the Year in 2018 and 2023 and Leading Advisor by WealthBriefing in 2019.

Ross studied Finance and Economics at Anglia University and Economics at the Hogeschool Sittard, Netherlands. Away from the office Ross enjoys ski touring and long-distance triathlons. He is married with two children.

Fred Hervey

Chief Investment Officer

Fred is the Chief Investment Officer and a founding partner of Lincoln Private Investment Office. As CIO, Fred is responsible for the investment proposition at Lincoln and chairs the Investment Committee.

Fred has been advising clients on their investments since 1997. Prior to Lincoln Fred was Managing Director and Co-Head of Berenberg Private Banking UK, where he focused on delivering the Investment Solution to clients. Before that Fred ran a team of bankers advising clients at Barclays Wealth having started his career at James Capel.

Fred is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments (CISI).

He studied Economics and Management at Royal Holloway University. Away from the office Fred is married with two children and enjoys travelling.

Stephen Kattou, CFA

Partner

Stephen is a Partner, an Adviser and is Head of Advisory Investments. In this role Stephen is responsible for the firm’s Alternative Investment offering and as such chairs the Alternative Investment Committee. As an Adviser, Stephen provides investment advice to his clients and is a member of Lincoln’s Investment Committee.

Stephen joined Lincoln in 2015. He previously spent 7 years at Barclays Wealth, where he was responsible for managing and advising a diverse client base.

Stephen is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder and was named in the PAM Top 40 Under 40 in 2019. Stephen studied at the University of Liverpool and has a degree in Accounting.

Stephen is married with one daughter. Away from the office he enjoys cooking, playing golf, and travelling with his family.

James Meiklejohn

Partner

James is a Partner and Adviser. His focus is providing investment advice to his clients. He is also a member of Lincoln’s Investment Committee and Alternative Investment Committee.

James joined Lincoln in 2019. He started his career at Robert Fleming in 1998, and subsequently worked at JP Morgan. He then joined Redburn Partners in its infancy in 2006, where he helped build and grow the business into a leading and highly respected European broker.

James is a member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments (CISI).

He graduated from the University of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne with an honours degree in Economics and Marketing. Away from work, James is married with three children and enjoys skiing and tennis.

Kamila Samin

Adviser

Kamila is an Adviser, and her focus is providing investment advice to her clients. She is also a member of Lincoln’s Investment Committee and Alternative Investment Committee.

Kamila joined the team in 2022. Prior to Lincoln she spent 5 years at Barclays Wealth, with a particular focus on managing the affairs of financial professionals and entrepreneurs.

Kamila graduated from the University of Manchester with a 1st Class Honours Degree in Law. She holds the certificate in Private Client Investment Advice & Management and Investment Management Certificate (IMC) and has passed CFA Level 1.

Outside of the office, Kamila enjoys cooking, travelling and spending time with friends and family.

Edward Woolley, CFA

Associate Adviser

Ed is an Associate Adviser, providing support to the Advisers and their clients. 

Ed joined the team in 2024. Prior to Lincoln, he spent 6 years at Rathbones working on an investment desk managing the affairs of high-net-worth individuals, charities, and trusts.

Ed graduated from the University of Exeter in 2017, where he studied Politics. He also is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder and completed the Investment Advice Diploma (IAD).

Away from the office, Ed enjoys skiing, rugby and trail running.

Tom Braithwaite

Partner

Tom is a Partner and Adviser. His focus is providing investment advice to his clients. He is also a member of Lincoln’s Investment Committee and Alternative Investment Committee. Tom joined the team in 2022.

He began his career in 2003 as a Special Risks broker in Lloyds of London. In 2007 he joined the wealth management business at Barclays where he was a Director, Co-founder of the Financial Institutions Group, and Key Client advisor to Families and individuals.

Tom is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment (CISI).

Tom graduated from the University of West of England, Bristol with an honours degree in International Business Studies & French. Outside of work, he is married with two children and enjoys skiing & sailing.

Daniel Cunningham

Analyst

Daniel is a Client Analyst, providing support to the Advisers and their clients. He joined Lincoln in 2023.

Daniel graduated from Loughborough University with a degree in Accounting and Financial Management. He spent his industrial placement year at Mastercard as a Finance Analyst.

Away from the office, Daniel enjoys skiing, scuba diving and playing football.

India Fulford

Receptionist

India is the Receptionist, providing support to the day-to-day management of the office.  She joined the team in 2024.  

India graduated from Oxford Media and Business School with a Professional Business Diploma achieving a Distinction with Honours.  Previously, she has had several years of experience in hospitality and childcare. 

Away from the office, India enjoys playing sports, travelling and spending time with her friends and family.

Ella Jones

Team Assistant

Ella Jones is the Team Assistant. She supports the team with the day-to-day running of the office. She joined the team in 2022.

Ella graduated from the Fashion Retail Academy with a Fashion Business Diploma achieving a distinction. Whilst studying, she gained two years of retail experience.

Outside of the office she enjoys travelling and socialising with her friends and family.

Jonathan Lanceley

Partner

Jonathan is a Partner and Adviser. His focus is providing investment advice to his clients. He is also a member of Lincoln’s Investment Committee and Alternative Investment Committee.

Jonathan joined Lincoln in 2017 and has over 20 years’ wealth management experience, with 15 years spent at UBS where he was an Executive Director. At UBS, he set up a new team, which quickly grew to be the largest in the Private Wealth Management business. Despite his success in building the team, Jonathan’s passion and focus has always been very much with his clients.

Jonathan is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments (CISI) and studied Economics and Business at the University of Sheffield.

Away from work, Jonathan is married with two children. He is a very keen skier, mountain-biker, and golfer.

Chris Rowell

Head of Client Relationships

Chris is a Partner, an Adviser and is Head of Client Relationships. As an Adviser, Chris provides investment advice to his clients and is a member of Lincoln’s Investment Committee and Alternative Investment Committee. He also oversees Lincoln’s team of Advisers and all aspects of the Client Service Proposition.

Chris joined Lincoln in 2014 and has worked in financial services since 1985, including 15 years spent in private client wealth management at Barclays Wealth. There he managed a team of private bankers and advised a broad range of clients including business owners, entrepreneurs, and finance professionals. He was a senior member of the Barclays Wealth UK Investment Committee.

Chris is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments (CISI) and holds the CISI Diploma.

Chris is married with one daughter. Away from the office, he enjoys playing golf.

Ben Stern


Partner

Ben is a Partner, an Adviser and is Head of Family Office Services. In this role, he is responsible for managing all the firm’s intermediary relationships and leads the Responsible Investing Committee. As an Adviser, Ben provides investment advice to his clients and is a member of Lincoln’s Investment Committee and Alternative Investment Committee.

Ben joined Lincoln in 2015 and has over 25 years of experience in wealth management. Prior to Lincoln, he was a Director at Barclays Wealth, managing a team of bankers and advising clients from a wide range of backgrounds. Ben was a member of the Barclays Wealth UK Investment Committee and previously worked in the Tax and Trusts team.

He is a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) and holds the CISI Diploma.

Outside Lincoln, Ben is a Trustee of a charity supporting children with rare chromosome disorders and is also a director of an online retail business. He is married with three daughters and enjoys cycling, skiing and travel.

We are able to draw on the expertise and relationship network of our Investment Advisory Board. The board acts as an advisory body, providing macro-economic investment insights and introductions to new ideas, funds and investment themes.

Richard Davidson

Richard has over twenty-five years of experience in fund management and is currently Chairman of the University of Edinburgh Endowment Investment Committee.

Richard has had many high-profile roles including Partner at Lansdowne Partners and Manager of Morgan Stanley Investment Management’s $7bn Global Asset Allocation fund, where he was also Chief Investment Officer and Chief European Equity Strategist in London. Richard has held investment strategy consultant roles at Aubrey Capital Management and Rivercrest Capital.

Jason Mackay

Jason is a highly experienced investor.

He worked for 8 years in equities for UBS and was a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley on their proprietary trading desk. Jason then managed an award winning $3bn Hedge Fund at GLG for 7 years.

Over the last 14 years, Jason has run his own money across private and public markets. He has also founded several companies and sat on numerous boards. Jason holds a degree in History from Durham University. 

Dipankar Shewaram

Dipankar is a seasoned investment professional having held senior roles at leading institutions for over 20 years. He was a Principal at BlueBay and Co-head of the investment grade and crossover businesses. Dip was previously Head of non-US credit at Western Asset Management, with responsibility for $25 billion of assets and oversight on a further $4 billion.

Dip is a regular guest lecturer at London Business School, focusing on macro investing and portfolio management. He also sits on the Motability Foundation Investment Committee and Westminster School Investment Committee.

Hugh Sloane

Hugh is an exceptionally experienced investor. He co-founded Sloane Robinson in 1993 and was the CEO until 2012. Hugh has been the manager of the International and Japanese portfolios since the firm’s inception.

Hugh began his investment career at GT Management in 1979, initially in Hong Kong and Japan, before moving to London as investment director of GT and Chairman of its European Investment Committee.

Strategic Advisory Board

Our Strategic Advisory Board provides Lincoln with advice and guidance on the development of the business. The Board have all been involved in running their own businesses or large divisions of listed companies. Their experience and expertise impacts the longer term strategic decision making of Lincoln to the benefit of our clients.

Ausaf Abbas

Ausaf had a 25 year career at two US investment banks. He held the roles of Head of Sales and Marketing at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management and before that was Head of EMEA Global Private Client at Merrill Lynch.

He is the founder and Managing Director of Coombe Advisers, providing strategic, financial and investment advice to a range of clients and businesses.

Peter Harvey

Peter is the former Chief Executive of Barclays Corporate & Commercial Bank and Vice Chair of UK Banking. Peter worked at Barclays for 34 years, retiring from the bank in 2008.

Peter currently holds a number of non-executive director positions. He also spends his time mentoring individuals and businesses, and assists Saracens Rugby Club with their personal development programme.

Jason Katz

Jason is a founding partner of Kings Park Capital, a private equity manager investing in the European leisure sector. He has been involved in the leisure sector for 20 years, having started his career at SG Warburg (later UBS Investment Bank) where he spent 13 years leading his team.

Alongside Kings Park Capital, Jason holds a number of board positions.

Duncan McIntyre

Duncan is the former Chief Executive of Morse Plc, a technology company which he grew to be an international publicly quoted market leader. Following Morse, he became Executive Chairman of Monitise plc, a mobile banking and payments company, during which time it developed from concept to a market leading position.

Since then, Duncan has held several chairman and non-executive positions where he assists building and advising companies.
